In this day and age it's been proven that companies with corporate social responsibility initiatives are more attractive for workers. Why is this? Because currently people don't just want to work somewhere they can grow on a professional level, get attractive remunerations, have additional benefits but rather, they also want to grow in companies that are aware of social and environmental problems.

The changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have motivated companies to shift their focus in regards to corporate social responsibility. Currently, corporate leaders are investing more time in looking out for the health of their employees and providing them with working conditions that allow them to carry out their duties with serenity, in the midst of these uncertain and confusing times.

For new generations labor flexibility, the openness to new ideas, diversity, technological advances and good work environments are just as important as knowing that your organization has programs to reduce their environmental impact, plans to aid people in nearby communities and innovative proposals that seek to generate a positive impact on society.

Lessons of employees

Employees that regularly participate in corporate social responsibility activities indicate that some of the lessons that these experiences have left them are:

  • Greater empathy for others.
  • Gratitude for their jobs.
  • Sensations of happiness.
  • Serenity.
  • Better relationships with their coworkers.
  • Discovering abilities they didn't know they had.
  • Learning to share their talents.
  • Losing their fear.
  • Taking a different approach on life.
  • Value their work, their health and their life more.

With this, there are more and more workers that while searching for an ideal position, they evaluate organizations to see if they hold a permanent social compromise.
